Academy Awards 2015: Lady Gaga shines above them all

Lady Gaga took the stage at the 2015 Academy Awards to sing a Sound Of Music medley as a tribute to Julie Andrews and for the 50th anniversary of the film. Sure Common, John Legend, Tegan & Sara, Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson and Rita Ora performed as well, but Mother Monster’s rendition was one of the biggest moments of the ceremony! She really deserved an Oscar, for no reason, after that performance, instead she got a standing ovation!

Μπορεί οι Common, John Legend, Tegan & Sara, Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson και Rita Ora να βρέθηκαν και αυτοί στη σκηνή για να ερμηνεύσουν τα υποψηφια για Oscar τραγούδια τους, αλλά η εμφάνιση της Gaga ήταν αυτή που πραγματικά ξεχώρισε!

Academy Awards 2015: John Legend & Common win Best Original Song

It didn’t take a genius to predict that John Legend and Common‘s "Glory", from the motion picture Selma, would win the Best Original Song award at the 87th annual Academy Awards. After all, the pair won the Golden Globe last month in the same category. 

Δεν χρειαζόταν να είσαι και ιδιοφυία για να προβλέψεις ότι οι John Legend και Common θα κέρδιζαν το Oscar καλύτερου τραγουδιού για το "Glory", από την ταινία Selma. Μετά τη νίκη τους στις Χρυσές Σφαίρες, είναι λίγο αναμενόμενο και το Oscar.

Just a few days after the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, here comes the Oscar Nominations. The Best Original Song category includes Tegan & Sara's "Everything Is Awesome", Rita Ora's "Grateful", Glen Campbell's "I'm Not Gonna Miss You", Adam Levine's "Lost Stars" and off course John Legend and Common's Golden Globe award-winning "Glory". Where is Lana, god damn it!

On Sunday night, John Legend and Common beat out pop acts like Lana Del Rey, Sia, Patti Smith and Lorde in the Best Original Song category with their song "Glory" from the film Selma. So to keep the buzz going, the two superstars just premiered the video for their award-winning song.

Την Κυριακή το βράδυ, οι John Legend και Common πήραν το βραβείο για το Best Original Song για το κομμάτι τους "Glory", soundtrack της ταινίας Selma. Φυσικό και επόμενο ήταν να κυκλοφορήσει και το video του νικητήριου τραγουδιού.

Golden Globe Awards 2015: Original Song winner

After landing his very first chart-topper on the Billboard Hot 100, with "All Of Me" , John Legend also took home Golden Globe Award for the Best Original Song with "Glory", featuring Common, it was a hell of a good year for him. John beat out songs by fellow nominees Lana Del Rey, Sia, Patti Smith and Lorde. As for the Best Original Score, the winner was The Theory Of Everything.

Μετά από πολλά χρόνια, ο John Legend πέρυσι για πρώτη φορά κατέκτησε την κορυφή του Billboard Hot 100, με το "All Of Me". Η επιτυχία του όμως δεν σταμάτησε εκεί, αφού χθες βράδυ πήρε στο σπίτι και την χρυσή σφαίρα σην κατηγορία Best Original Song με το τραγούδι "Glory", στο οποίο συμμετέχει ο Common, συνυποψήφιοι στην κατηγορία ήταν οι Lana Del Rey, Sia, Patti Smith και Lorde. Όσον αγορά την κατηγορία Best Original Score, το βραβείο πήρε η ταινία The Theory Of Everything.
