Skepta, Amy Winehouse - Can't Play Myself (A Tribute To Amy)

Skepta has shared a new track called "Can’t Play Myself (A Tribute To Amy)" that acts as a tribute to musician Amy Winehouse and it includes vocals from one of Amy’s most critically acclaimed tracks, "Tears Dry On Their Own" which was released in 2006.

Sam Smith wins Best Original Song Oscar

Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes, the songwriters behind the Spectre theme song "Writing's On The Wall" who picked up a Golden Globe last month, repeated their victory at the Academy Awards last night. The Amy Winehouse documentary Amy won the Documentary Feature and Ennio Morricone earned the Original Score for The Hateful Eight.

The 88th Annual Academy Awards nominations were announced  today and some of the biggest names in pop have scored nods this year! The category for Best Original Song include: Lady Gaga’s "'Til It Happens to You", The Weeknd’s "Earned It", Sam Smith’s "Writing’s On The Wall", J. Ralph and Antony’s "Manta Ray", David Lang’s "Simple Song No. 3". There are also some notables for Best Documentary Feature, like the Amy Winehouse’s Amy and the Nina Simone project What Happened, Miss Simone? Amy Winehouse's documentary makes 2016 Oscars Shortlist

The 2016 Oscars are coming, and the Amy Winehouse documentary Amy along with the Nina Simone film What Happened, Miss Simone? made the shortlist for Best Documentary Feature.

It may be hard to believe, but this summer will mark four years since Amy Winehouse passed away. A documentary is set to be released in July directed by Asif Kapadia. The two hour-long project is titled Amy and will tell the singer’s story from her early beginning.
