Michael Jackson made his family even richer

Michael Jackson’s estate agreed to sell its 50% stake in Sony/ATV to Sony for $750 million. The deal will give Sony full publishing ownership of works by massive acts like The Beatles, Eminem and Taylor Swift. Jackson’s master recordings and songs that he wrote were not included in the deal and will stay under his estate’s control.

Ο Michael Jackson πλούτισε για μια ακόμη φορά την οικογένειά του, η οποία πούλησε το 50% που της ανήκει από τη Sony/ATV στη Sony για $750 εκατομμύρια. Η συμφωνία δίνει στη Sony πλήρη δικαιώματα για τον κατάλογο μεγάλων ονομάτων όπως The Beatles, Eminem και Taylor Swift. Τα τραγούδια του Michael τα οποία είτε ηχογράφησε ο ίδιος είτε απλά έγραψε, δεν συμπεριλήφθηκαν στην συμφωνία.

Kesha loses her fight against Dr. Luke

Kesha broke into tears Friday when a Manhattan Supreme Court judge refused to let her walk away from a six-album deal with Sony and the man she claims raped her. Kesha claims that Dr. Luke  drugged her with a pill that made her black out and raped her shortly after her 18th birthday in California. He was never criminally charged. Sony has offered to let her work with another producer, but Kesha said she fears the company won’t promote her music as heavily if she’s not working with Gottwald, their biggest hitmaker. 

H Kesha ξέσπασε σε κλάματα χθες, όταν ανακοινώθηκε ότι δεν ακυρώνεται το συμβόλαιό της για έξι ακόμη albums με την Sony και τον άνδρα που ισχυρίζεται πως την βίασε. H Kesha λοιπόν ισχυρίζεται πως ο Dr. Luke τη νάρκωσε με ένα χάπι και έχασε της αισθήσεις της λίγο μετά τα 18α γενέθλιά της. Στον Dr. Luke δεν απαγγέλθηκαν ποτέ κατηγορίες. Η Sony επιτρέπει στηνKesha να συνεργαστεί με άλλον παραγωγό αλλά η ίδια φοβάται πως δεν θα προωθηθεί η μουσική της εφόσον δεν δουλεύει με τον μεγαλύτερο συνεργάτη της εταιρίας.
