Lady Gaga apologizes for R. Kelly collaboration

Lady Gaga apologized for working with R. Kelly on 2013’s "Do What U Want (With My Body)" via Twitter and removed the song from iTunes and all the streaming platforms. "I made both the song and the video at a dark time in my life, my intention was to create something extremely defiant and provocative because I was angry and still hadn’t processed the trauma that had occurred in my own life”, Mother Monster explained.

She never did, though, blaming time constraints but it was never released because of the growing controversy surrounding her collaborators. Richardson was accused of sexually assaulting and harassing models and R. Kelly faced an overwhelming backlash after a Village Voice interview with Jim DeRogatis.
