Collaborations that didn't get FourFiveSeconds of your time!

What happens when you add great voices, magnificent talent and a few big names to the equation? Normally a big hit and a money-maker collaboration. Jessie, Ari and Nicki’s "Bang Bang", Pharrell, Thicke and T.I.’s "Blurred Lines" and the latest, Riri, Kanye and the Beatle guy’s "FourFiveSeconds", are some very to the point examples. Occasionally thought, that’s not the case. Some huge names of the mainstream industry attempted to combine their magnificence and create a historical music moment but didn’t succeed to shake the pop world. This is a tribute to those underrated, buried and forgotten, or in some cases, unreleased for whatever reason, collaborations. A list of a few of them that didn’t get the attention they deserved, according to me of course!

Τα "Bang Bang" από Jessie, Ari και Nicki, "Blurred Lines" από Pharrell, Thicke και T.I. και το πρόσφατο "FourFiveSeconds" από Riri, Kanye και τον τύπο από τους Beatles, είναι μερικά από τα τρανταχτά παραδείγματα. Μερικές φορές όμως, αυτή η απόπειρα δημιουργίας μιας ιστορικής συνεργασίας και ενός μεγάλου hit, δεν έχει το αποτέλεσμα που οι δημιουργοί του ελπίζουν. Θες γιατί το mainstream κοινό είναι δύσκολο κοινό, θες επειδή θάφτηκαν σε ένα LP και ποτέ δεν κυκλοφόρησαν ως single, θες γιατί η συνεργασία έμεινε στη θεωρία και δεν υλοποιήθηκε ποτέ; Αυτός λοιπόν είναι ένας φόρος τιμής σε αυτές τις υποτιμημένες συνεργασίες, που άξιζαν, αλλά δεν τα κατάφεραν.

Robin Thicke admits fake "Blurred Lines" songwritting credit

Robin Thicke revealed he lied to media outlets about co-writing "Blurred Lines" in court documents which have just been made public, "This is what happens every day in our industry". First came the divorce, then the commercial and critical failure of Paula and now this.. Things don't look good for Robin.

O Robin Thicke παραδέχτηκε πως είπε ψέματα σχετικά με τη συμμετοχή του στη δημιουργία του mega-hit "Blurred Lines" σε δικηγορικά έγγραφα, τα οποία είδαν το φως της δημοσιότητας, "Αυτό συμβαίνει καθημερινά στη βιομηχανία της μουσικής". Πρώτα το διαζύγιο, μετά η αποτυχία του Paula και τώρα αυτό.. Τα πράγματα δεν δείχνουν καλά για τον Robin.

Trey Songz tops Billboard 200

Trey Songz debuts at #1 at Billboard 200 while Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith hang right behind. Robin Thicke's "Paula" may have sold only 530 copies in the UK (wow), but did much better in the US, #9,  with 25.000 copies. In other news Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX's "Fancy" remains at Hot 100's #1.

O Trey Songz κατακτά την κορυφή του Billboard 200 ενώ οι Ed Sheeran και Sam Smith ακολουθούν. Το νέο album του Robin Thicke "Paula", μπορεί να πούλησε μόλις 530 αντίτυπα στην Βρετανία, παναγία μου, στην Αμερική πάντως τα πήγε καλύτερα, με 25.000 αντίτυπα τον βρίσκουμε στο #9. The R&B singer dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (July 2) to promote his new album "Paula" and performed three songs, a smooth rendition of "Get Her Back", "Lock The Door" and mega-hit "Blurred Lines".

Robin Thicke names his new album after his ex-wife

Thicke and actress Paula Patton split up in February after nine years of marriage, "We will always love each other and be best friends". Since then, though, Thicke has acted as if the decision wasn’t mutual at all. He dedicated his new song "Get Her Back" to her and named his new album Paula.

Robin Thicke has announced plans to release a new album on July 1. It will be his seventh album and it comes one year after he dropped Blurred Lines.
